Based on the real-life story of Teket, a Civil War soldier who, after having experienced the horrors of war, walks home to Louisiana after being captured by the Union Army.
When asked to sign a parole form, he escapes, killing a soldier turned bounty hunter in the process. Having no supplies, he is pursued by another bounty hunter who wants only to kill him in revenge for the death of his brother. On his journey he finds letters written by soldiers on both sides of the conflict. Armed with these letters and dreams of home, Teket must struggle with being hunted, starvation, loneliness, and madness. Using the letters to keep his sanity and the occasional companionship of those he meets, he journeys homeward.

Recently, Independent films have been increasingly more successful as additional markets have become available through streaming and non-exclusive deals available to independent film producers.
Independent movies have had success both in the theater and in online and streaming markets. Examples include Sound of Freedom and Everything Everywhere All at Once.
The film industry is highly competitive with a film’s success often related to the skills of a distributor’s marketing strategy. Conestoga Films currently has a relationship with a distributor (as evidenced by multiple projects streaming on many online platforms such as Amazon's Prime Video, Tubi, Reveel, etc) and our Executive Producers are even now working on distribution deals and exploration of potential markets that could lead us to a successful placement in even larger markets.
Teket LLC is seeking $160,000 to fund the filming of Teket. We believe this can be secured primarily through private investors who would invest at a minimum of 1% ($1,600) of the total needed. A foundation or entity could also act as an investor in this model.
Company projects a net revenue from the film to exceed the $160,000.
